As a radiographer first dedicated to ensuring patient safety and risk management in healthcare, I'd like to suggest stressing more the concept of "patient safety" sustaining and aiming for the concept of "safety culture" in all healthcare domains even in medical imaging, of course.

Humble, some interesting reflection points:

  • safety communication is a huge topic that has to be structured with (for example) a dedicated safety checklist (as I've seen in the document);
  • Using checklists in different fields surely could help ensure patient safety and risk management.

We always have to think "safety first" before doing every specific healthcare professional's work to ensure better quality and safety in every medical imaging field.
